sharing sessions participants are free to share as much or as little as they wish. Sharing your own experience with others is, however, for most a very strong element in their process and, equally, hearing the stories of others can have a profound and positive impact on ones own story
The workshop is set up to create a deep sense of support and safety for participants, which facilitates the exploration of consciousness and deeper levels of awareness.
What are the Benefits of Holotropic Breathwork?
Holotropic Breathwork should not be seen as a replacement for therapy, although many have experienced therapeutic effects. The goal of most participants, though, is self-exploration. Finding that you have an inner healer within yourself is a great form of self-empowerment.
Participants have remembered, discovered and explored many levels of the spectrum of consciousness. They can experience aspects of their own birth, repressed or unfinished trauma (e.g. childhood abuse, car accidents), bio-energetic release, unconscious family dynamics, intuitive wisdom, psychic or mystical awareness. The operating principle of Holotropic Breathwork is to create the optimum conditions in which experiences of one’s essential self, including those of a spiritual nature, can be most readily accessed.
In addition, Holotropic Breathwork usually engenders a profound sense of group belonging and connectedness amongst participants. A vital and supportive atmosphere readily establishes itself at a workshop.
Because of the power of Holotropic Breathwork people may feel it beneficial to ground it in a regular practice such as counselling, meditation or psychotherapy and Breathwork should not be seen as a replacement for therapy, but as a powerful adjunct.
Participants may literally redefine themselves after these experiences, bringing whole new levels of understanding into the decision-making criteria of the individual, which can result in significant world view and life changes.
